Timing belts on the other hand need to be switched at the 80 to 100K mileage. Your truck has a chain, so shouldn’t need to be replaced unless you have other things going wrong with it.

Ifyou're not finding common place chain based issues from the V6 or V8 vehicles, then it's probably a reasonable expectation to be problem free to at least 124k miles. Even with all the chain problems on the 2.0T, mine was still fine enough when I replaced it at 130k miles.
