Use contact cleaner on the connectors and and then reseat them. About an hour. Then tackle the blower assembly if needed. The replacement of the "resistor" (actually a controller) and the motor is a deep dive into the console assembly. You have to move and remove a good number of the pieces to get to the units.

JimLev. The compressor should kick in if the Aux fan is not working, it's 2 different circuits. However once the condenser coil gets hot because the aux fan isn't working your cooling capacity will drop off, you'll get warmer and warmer air out of the ducts. So I sat in the car 20mins earlier and just test the AC. - In Auto AC, it will not blow any air in the lower vents. - In Manual AC, it will blow cold air to the lower vent only if the temp was set to 60-62degrees and the fan at 80-90% power. First check coolant level is up and moving. Second (most likely), change thermostat. Very easy fix for backyard mechanic. Make sure to put thermostat in so water flow is correct direction. Look for arrow on side of thermostat. Next, is belt to water pump loose. Another easy fix in most cars. Im having some really weird problems with my cars ac. Its a 2018 340i. Ive ran into this issue a few times recently and it usually sorts itself out after about 20 min or less but today it wouldnt. The temperature coming out is basically just the same temp as the outside and turning the ac button off does not change the temperature. B. The only time it will blow hard is when I push the defrost button. other than that it blows slowly or softly. the only known problem. The display tells me sometimes that my battery has a low charge. eYoI.
