A place to discuss our love for the Devil May Cry series Members Online I was messing around with vergil after having not played dmc5 in a while, and I found out you can do perfect timed attacks with Beowolf that when I tried on the dummy in the training room I did more damage (including with all charge levels), did anyone else not know this or
Gameplay. Im trying to get into DMC starting by playing 1 but it really didnt catch me, i know that 3 is a prequel and has a really better gameplay, and i have seen that 1 and 2 stories are pretty simple and not that important, so i was thinking to just play 3 4 and 5, and since 3 is a prequel maybe i can engage better. This isn't like KH where you have to play ever game to even remotely understand the story. The DMC story is pretty simplistic, so yea you can play it without having to worry all that much about playing the others. There is a recap of the story in the game though. I have to imagine this is going to make it harder to play the other ones. However, you will have to beat the game on DMD to unlock Super Vergil, which is Vergil with unlimited DT. Vergil's campaign is completely separate from Dante, Nero & V, despite being the same levels. So playing as Vergil and getting to say mission 12, then expecting to play as Dante is a no go. To answer your question, yes you can. Yes. The essential one to play is 3, IMO. Play it on Switch if you can. That version has unlimited weapon switching and in-combat instantaneos style switching. DmC isn't "bad", but depending on how much you like normal DMC's style, you might really hate DmC. 1 is good, but it won't rock your cock off after playing 5, 2 is actually just bad, 4 is Feel free to watch a plot video or retrospective or whatever, but the games dont have a whole lot to do with each other plotwise (barring a few glaring exceptions such as the ending of 3 leading to a recurring boss in 1), but I think you'll be fine even with no prior knowledge. bF9bkk.
